Cheap Knockoff That FAILED in 5 Months and NEVER worked 100% This is a KNOCKOFF not a genuine FSP or Whirlpool part and it COMPLETELY FAILED in only 5 months. It had a tell-tale issue when I first installed it – I had to glue a shim to the top of it to get it to engage properly. It also evidently had disconnected intermittently during the spin cycle as my wife started noticing that the clothes were not as dry as before the original switch failed. Not a very good transaction. I own an older Roper washer (ras6233kq0). I had the pleasure of running a load of laundry and the machine getting stuck in the drain/spin cycle. I could rotate the knob and start it at any previous cycle (fill, agitate) and it worked fine but then would just shut off when it got time to spin or drain. So I pulled all the wet laundry out and went to the internet. I narrowed it down to two parts: the lid switch, or the timer. The lid switch was about a tenth of the cost so I figured why not…
