Genuine OEM 285753A Motor Coupling. This coupling is a three-part piece. There is a coupling for the motor and one for the transmission. In between is a rubber grommet. Motor couplings act as a safety device, very similar to a shear pin. If the transmission or motor should seize, the motor coupling will break to protect any further damage to the more expensive parts. It’s almost like an electrical fuse. If the coupling is replaced, and it breaks a few loads later, a more serious issue within the transmission or motor could be presenting itself. 285753A has a metal-reinforced core for added durability.

Perfect for easy fix… no fitting required, read below! Some folks say they have to file on the bushings to get them to fit. In many cases, the original bushing was all plastic and those were fit so they could push on/pull off fairly easily. These newer ones need to be seated properly on the shaft. Filing may work to make them fit on easier but what I do is use a socket that is bigger than the motor shaft along with an extension.
