New Cycling Thermostat Failed in A Few Minutes Part arrived as scheduled. It is an after market part. Installation was easy, only taking 10 to 15 minutes. However, the part failed in the first few minutes of using it. We started the dryer, once it began to heat up there was a loud âpopâ from behind the dryer and the circuit breaker blew. our dryer had stopped working , no sounds ,no movement , nothing . so i searched some youtube videos and most were pointing towards the door switch or the cycling thermostat and fuse being the issue . so i tried replacing fuse and thermostat first because they were easier to get to and still nothing , then i swapped in the new door switch and sure enough that was the problem . i kept the new fuse and thermostat installed because the dryer is kinda old and figured was just a matter of time…
