3406107 Door Switch Assembly for Whirlpool Dryer Aftermarket Quality Part by DR Quality Parts.
The 3406107 door switch is an on/off switch mechanism that prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open. This part may need to be replaced if you find that the dryer is not starting, will not shut off or the door will not close properly. All you will need is a putty knife and a Phillips screwdriver. Disconnect dryer. pry open the top of the dryer, remove the two screws underneath the lint collector without removing the entire thing, unplug the switch, remove the screws that hold the switch place, take out the old switch and install the new one by screwing it back into place.

First of all, I am amazed that Whirpool uses such a cheap plastic trigger in its dryers. If the trigger were built from metal, it would last forever. This did the trick in terms of replacing a 10-year-old dryer switch on our Whirlpool dryer (Model LEN2000PW0).
