The Zojirushi made fabulously perfect fluffy rice I have had this for almost a year now. IMO, this rice cooker requires a few work-arounds. that wasn’t required in my old Zojirushi. Makes a mess. Steam function doesn’t turn off. Now I have had this steamer for half a year or so. The more I use it, the more I hate it because it sputters rice vapor out the hole in the lid. Everything in the surrounding area becomes coated with a thin layer of wet rice water, which solidifies to a sticky rice layer. I am constantly wiping the floor, walls and counters after every usage.
