I found many professionals who strongly recommended against after market sound blankets The universal fit on my 3 ton compressor meant the unit was basically double wrapped. Theses blankets are very thick and heavy duty. Much heavier than I have seen on the factor installed sound blankets I have seen on other units.My compressor overheated within 4 hours of installing the blanket and was almost ruined.
