Great value! This is a good product for the price. It says it can direct the smoke two different ways. And it can. It has a vent for it to push up back into the kitchen, or if you have an attic vent, it can blow it that way. Well, if you want it to go up through the roof, there is a small plastic piece you clip on the vent that is on the front of the hood to help direct the smoke up. That piece does not stay on when you have the fan on. The air from the fan blows through there too hard for the measly little…
Works great – looks great – very happy So far so good and we have had for about a year now. My husband installed himself and we have had no problems with it at all. Cleans up nicely – it’s a brushed stainless so the fingerprints don’t really show. I read some of the other reviews – if you mount it high (6ft ft or more) so that the underside is visible to the room – you might not like the view as it is a no frills version underneath but where we have it mounted (about 5 ft) it looks just like it does in the picture. Quite pleased…
Stopped working after 3 years I liked it at first, though one of the screens tends to fall out, but it stopped working after about 3 years. Way too soon.UPDATE: Customer service responded to this review and after we spoke on the phone they sent me a new motor which was a breeze to replace. The machine works fine now. Not getting a “5” because it shouldn’t have stopped working to begin with, but they get a four now because they fixed the problem pro-actively and did not charge me even though it was out…
