Very Thick and Does the Trick This is a nice, thick and heavy cord for newer 240V dryer outlets. I wired this up to a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer, model WED5500XW0 and it went in without a hitch. There was not really a place for the included strain relief clamp, so I clamped it in a place that would keep the cord away from the sheet metal.The cable itself is very thick with what looks like 10 gauge wiring covered by a thick layer of rubber insulation.
