Very Thick and Does the Trick This is a nice, thick and heavy cord for newer 240V dryer outlets. I wired this up to a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer, model WED5500XW0 and it went in without a hitch. There was not really a place for the included strain relief clamp, so I clamped it in a place that would keep the cord away from the sheet metal.The cable itself is very thick with what looks like 10 gauge wiring covered by a thick layer of rubber insulation. Good but look for different strain relief The cable itself seems fine, well constructed, no issues with installation an so far it is doing a good job, the problem is the strain relief, which although is the same one commonly used on a lot of cables, is of poor quality and very very poorly designed that shouldn’t be described as universal, because it is not, and definitely didn’t fit my brand new LG, so I ended using it with one wing inside/ through the hole and the other wing outside, which is far from what it is supposed to be, and…
