Already had to send a couple of these back as after water boiling use these things begin to make a loud buzzing noise and automatically step down in voltage. This particular model does draw over 1700 watts at 15 amps, so the power rating is true, but one of these began automatically stepping down the power after 3-5 minutes of water boiling from 1700 down to 1400 watts, while others began buzzing really loudly.
