A lot of pros over other name brand irons. I have am comparing this iron to the Rowenta I have used for years that is the same 1700 watts, but has 400 holes instead of the 300 holes this iron has. I think they perform about the same, which is to say, they are both excellent irons. The biggest differences is that although both have an automatic 30 second shut off is the iron is facedown or on its side, if upright the CHI stays on a full 30 minutes compared to the Rowenta’s 8 minutes.
