Works well, but not as advertised. I’d have given it a five star review had it actually had the spring type cover as advertised. Turns out that the lint screen came attached to the cover and was held in place by friction fit which probably holds it together better than the spring. I added a dense foam gasket to the sides (see picture) to help seal the cover better. It works very well, eliminating most of the lint from downstream of the trap. Every house should have one! Your lint trap that comes with your clothes dryer does not catch “all” the lint.I installed this additional lint trap right above the dryer at chest level. Cut out sheetrock, cut dryer vent to size, placed lint trap in and secured with duct tape (real duct tape…. Shinny type tape) don’t use what we call duct tape.
