Don’t buy from Amazon if you want a valid warranty!!! Generally, we like Cuisinart products, and over the years we’ve had a lot of them. Our first Cuisinart food processor lasted a good twenty years, and the only reason we replaced it was because it had started to leak and “spew.” But we were in the mood for a bigger one, and we purchased one. Save yourself a headache. Choose any other product than this Cuisinart. What an unbelievably defective product. I purchased it in May — it started to smoke and break down by November. I like Cuisinart and owned a Cuisinart blender for about 10 years before I bought this piece of junk.I contacted Cuisinart in January and I’m still trying to communicate with customer service now during the end of Feb. 2017. The Blender is ACES!!!! Two Thumbs UP! I’ve always had excellent service and products from Cuisinart. This blender is the best I have ever owned. I use it daily to make smoothies for breakfast. The only thing I don’t like is the alarm it makes when a programmed cycle is done. It is as LOUD and PIERCING as a smoke alarm. It will get your attention.
