An excellent multi-purpose appliance, but it gets very hot to the touch. The Cusinart microwave and convection oven is a nice way to save space in the kitchen. It’s easy to use and delivers great results.The Cusinart is about the size of a large microwave oven and looks just like one from the outside. Top Burner – Heating Element is On Top Here are a couple of pictures they didnât want you to see. First of all, it is a Top Burner, for Convection heating. The heating element is on the top, and a fan blows this heat around the inside of the oven, but does not reach the bottom, unless the food is elevated. That is the reason why the chicken is placed on a grill, to allow some of the hot air to reach the bottom. Terrific little Work Horse We love this little work horse. We were actually looking at a toaster oven but after looking at our counter top array of gadgets gave up hope until my wife stumbled across this guy. As a microwave It is the same footprint as the one it replaces, controls are intuitive and does a fine job. This thing shines as a back-up second to a Viking Pro.
