Good quality, white plastic top under chrome cover attaches via tabs instead of screwing on and off It is much sturdier than what they sell at Home Depot and was easy to install. I only have 2 issues. 1) The white inside plastic top is attached with tabs instead of screwing on and off, which, for me, is difficult to remove in case I need to open it up and clear out build up from the garbage disposal. 2) It is a little shorter than the one I replaced so I had to buy a new garbage disposal hose (and, of course, Home Depot and Lowes were completely out of them so Lowes suggested I use washing…
Works well and looks good – 2 thumbs up!! I bought this kit as i wanted a real metal cap, as opposed to the cheap plastic caps I could buy locally. The metal cap on this unit feels solid, looks nice, and matches our brushed nickel faucet. I did have a leak when I first installed – the hose clamp I used for the dishwasher lone connection was too large, and even thought it was tight, it was leaking water when the dishwasher drained.
