Read this review I read the reviews before I purchased this cooktop and was fairly prepared for what to expect. Here is my review ….1. Infrared Element. I’ve had infrared elements in ranges before so I was expecting this unit to be fast at heating, but I was disappointed. The unit is actually pretty slow at heating up. Granted, I have never owned a single element cooktop that runs off of 110vac. But, contrary to other posts, its not fast by any stretch of the imagination. 4 of 5 stars…
Great for about a few months
I’ve been using it a few days, and love it. I had a more efficient induction cooktop, but it’s noisy, the therostat ‘snot that accurate, and the longest timer I found was 8 hours. I bought this fo making bone-broth, simmering for 2 days. Despite the drawbacks, retains heat, doesn’t cool off fast, less efficient, it’s worth it, specially at this price. I’ve heated a 3″ mug for tea, simmering for 13 minutes, to a large pot for steaming. The thermostat works fine, can fine tune the temp, no…
