major flaw lasts 3 years then junk I enjoyed this fridge for 3 winters in baja. I was able to power it easily from 3, 50 watt panels. So the fridge lasted 15 months of use.The failure was in the evaporator. The evaporator is behind the silver lining on the inside of the fridge. The copper coils in the evaporator are wrapped in aluminum foil. With time the copper / aluminum eat each other up. I believe it’s called electrolysis. The result is an r134a leak. Poor quality – failed power supply after 3 months
Don’t waste your money if you want an actual freezer or to freeze things quickly! The package was damaged when we received it; however the refrigerator powered up so we didn’t think much of it at the time. Several months later when we finally put the unit in use, it was feeble at best. We set the temperature to 5 degrees; it took 6 hours for the unit to cool from 74 degrees to 17, and then the temperature began rising to 20 — all with the compressor continually running.When we tried to use the Fast Freeze function, the FF indicator would turn on, but the…
