You DO NOT need to buy the gasket! Great build quality on this part. First off – I don’t know why everyone is buying the gasket shown in “Frequently Bought Together.” My original dishwasher did not have a gasket between this and the spout on the top that it screws onto, and I’ve never had water under my dishwasher. Great replacement for my dishwasher. I purchased this product awhile back to replace my dishwasher upper spray arm after it all of a sudden it just started to fall off almost every dishwasher load.
