The wheels come off while pushing the rack into the dish washer because the little clips don’t hold them on very well and the wheels end up on the heating element for drying the dishes where they get melted. As others have stated, on some models the clips don’t fit tight enough on the rack to hold the wheels securely on the rack – and mine was one of them.So – being the risk-taker I am, I did take a lighter and heat the clips and squeezed them together until they cooled to make them fit better. WARNING: Do this at your own risk – i am not responsible for any harm or damage to persons or property resulting from attempting such a procedure. But it worked. Another (probably safer) option…
they replaced the wheels that were already there exactly and fall off just like the originals so I give 3 stars for meeting the same great quality. It could be an issue with the wire rack not having a thick enough coating to help hold these wheel clasps so it may not be the fault of the wheels but the dishwasher manufacturer but with the info given this is all i can give it. I would purchase again only if I figure out a way to keep these wheels on but if they stay on then they won’t get melted…
