Stopped my washing machine from shaking. These are marked with the correct part number but they don’t match the OE dampers in my GE Adora front load washer. These have an approximate 1″ free play before dampening. The OE dampers do not have this play in them. After installing these dampers and running a small load of just a couple towels, the washer would not reach high spin speed and banged worse than before (when the worn 10 year old dampers were installed). If you need it, you need it If you have a front load washing machine there is no question that you will know when these need to be replaced. The loud shaking will remind you every time the machine runs. The shocks themselves are the exact same that came with my machine. This does appear to be a genuine GE part, but it has more âgiveâ and looseness than the original in our washer. I suspect GE switched suppliers and made an already cheap part âcheeper.â It will, that said, give your washer a few more months or years before the spider supports erode to nothing, or the main spring fails, or the seals come out, or the âdesigned for six years and no moreâ crap washer gives out in some other way.
