I ordered this coffee pot and when I received it I noticed 2 small pieces of black plastic that had broken off from somewhere, later discovered it was from the lid on the carafe. Decided to make a pot of coffee anyway, water leaked from under the pot. I suspect the package may have been dropped. So I contacted Amazon, ordered a replacement pot and it was WONDERFUL!!!
