A review after a year…. We bought this for the house, with two dogs and a cat. At first, I was very impressed with the cleaning ability. I would say that you might be ok with occasional use (a few times a year). If your animals get sick and you need to use it more regularly for a little bit, prepare to be disappointed.After the first few months, one of the tabs that holds the dirty water tank broke. Buying this model is a risk The scrubbers stopping working appears to be the biggest weakness – just look through the Amazon questions and reviews. I had this carpet cleaner for a year and a half when the scrubbers failed. Some people reported that the plastic peg that turns the scrubbers would break (see photograph). This was not the case with mine. I opened the turbine brush gear (part that turns the brushes) and one of the plastic gears was totally stripped (see the photograph).
