Best 3.25″ x 10″ hood in the american market… I dont think there’s a finer 3.25×10 hood on the market. This is well built and the flap is designed CORRECTLY. My neighbor has a Broan 3.25×10 hood and had to add a bunch of weight to his to keep it from flapping when the wind blows. I’ve had zero issues with this one. As another reviewer noted, there’s a satisfying thud when the exhaust fan is turned off, you know it’s closed. It’s sealed extremely well, I could see no light leakage around the seal.Only complaint? Great quality vent I’ve used the 4″ round version of this vent for a dryer and went with two of the 3-1/4×10″ vents for a range hood and a downdraft cooktop. I’ve had too many plastic vents break and fail from UV damage and age, so when it was time to reside the house I decided on these metal units. I like how the down-facing protected spout stands out far enough to clear J-channel and foam underlayment. They should update the installation instructions to cover new vinyl siding, it would be a shame…
