Fantastic Disposer – Long Lasting, Quite, and Powerful! We absolutely love this InSinkErator PRO Disposer. It is both very quite and very powerful. The main difference between this Pro model and the consumer/retail model is that this has 1/8 more horsepower, has a feature called ‘auto-reverse’, and has a longer warranty. Auto reverse is extremely important. If some food is challenging the disposer, it will automatically reverse the direction that the blades are spinning to prevent. This garbage disposal was worth every penny. I have met a lot of garbage disposals in my life and this one has actually managed to make me feel happy when I use it. It is quiet, as far as garbage disposals go. Our old one, a KitchenAid 1 HP, sounded like we were grinding bones and rocks no matter what we put into it. This one? Super quiet. I have put all manner of vegetation down the disposal and it has made quick work of it without a hint of it possibly thinking about getting plugged up…
