The official large 6-8 qt mesh steamer basket is too small for the 8 qt. Instant Pot. I wanted to warn people that the official large mesh steamer basket which is supposed to fit the 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot Ultra is much too small for the 8 quart Instant Pot Ultra! It does not begin to take full advantage of the abundant space available in the 8 quart inner pot. I previously ordered a Hatrigo steamer basket for my Instant Pot Ultra Mini and was delighted with it! It fit like a glove in the 3 quart inner pot! Just what I needed! I am a firm believer in sometimes it doesn’t save to buy off brand accessories and this is one of those situations. I had some other IP accessories and they just don’t work as expected. I decided to purchase name brand and boy I was not disappointed. These are so perfect. I have the 8qt IP and they fit perfectly.
