Best Instant Pot Cookbook. Seriously. I purchased this for my DIL. We gave her and my son an Instant Pot last Christmas. It’s still in the box. She’s been afraid to use it, because like many others, the buttons scare her. She thought it was too complicated, so in the box it stayed. He simply hasn’t taken the time to read the manual. The Publisher’s claim of heavily testing recipes seems suspect. My jury is still out on this book and I am prepared to revise this review if I become more impressed. Soft boiled eggs, page 289, require 5 minutes at low pressure, not what this book recommends. Last night, I made General Tso’s Chicken, page 113, and it was inedible as written. The sauce was much too strong. Upon researching the source of this recipe (AdventuresofaNurse.com) I discovered that many others had the same experience and the recipe was changed – on the blog, not in the book. 3/4 cup…
Forget trying to find Recipes in the Index The cookbook itself is ok….. but the Index is awful !!!!Trying to find anything in the index is very hard….. Example: Looking for a POT ROAST recipe, It is not under Pot or Roast…. So I looked under Beef….. and still could not find it…… then just looked through the book…. and low and behold there it is on page 56…… But it is not Pot Roast, it is called KITCHEN-SINK Pot Roast and that is how it is the INDEX both under BEEF and under KIf you want Marinara Sauce…
