You get what you pay for The MOUNTING HARDWARE for this paper towel holder IS HORRIBLE! The head of the screw got completely stripped once I got the screw halfway into the wall, and the saddest part of all is that I had drilled pilot holes to avoid stressing the screws. I then had to figure out how to remove the stuck screw without damaging the plastic mounting bracket. Impossible! I ended up breaking off chunks of plastic from the mounting bracket when I was forced to reverse the screw with needle nosed pliers. What…
I too easily snapped the bar right after the hinge The instructions on the packaging show the three pieces already separated. This item comes fully assembled, you need to separate the parts to install the screws that hold it into place. While using somewhat light pressure to try to remove the snap-together screw cover, I too easily snapped the bar right after the hinge, making this thing trash. Either the instructions should provide a foolproof way to get this snap cover off, or the product should come disassembled, or it should be reinforced…
