J-2M Jiffy Garment Steamer with Metal Steam Head, 120 Volt
The Model J-2M garment steamer is recommended for home or light commercial usage with 1300 watts of steaming power. The J-2 offers the power to remove wrinkles quickly and effectively, reducing the need to iron. Steam is so gentle that you can apply it to most fabrics without fear of scorching. The base of the steamer unit is solid die case aluminum that offers durability. Provides steam in less than 2 minutes and will continue to steam for 2 hours per filling.
The J-2M is equipped with a plastic 1 gallon water bottle, no-drip check valve system, and 5 ½ foot flexible hose with a metal steam head and wooden handle. The J-2M garment steamer heats up in 1 minute and is equipped with an on/off switch.

J-2 vs J-4000 (You Already Know that Jiffy is the Only Game in Town when it Comes to Steamers) I bought the Jiffy J-4000 in 2008. So, it lasted 9 years. The heating element broke because I left it on all day, the water dried out, and the heating element snapped. I frequently made the mistake of letting the steamer run dry by the way. So, nine years through rough wear and tear is pretty good. Great steamer. Get the metal handle! I can’t give a review on the longevity of the product but I can say that it is really great at it’s intended purpose. I’ve tried a cheaper steamer in the past and gave up on steaming altogether because it didn’t perform anywhere near satisfactory. This one on the other hand performs as good as steaming can get.I read reviews of people burning themselves and complaining. For me that was the indicator to buy this thing. Get this one! Happy steaming! I had the Rowenta (loved it fine, but it was plastic-y), and so I exchanged it when I saw this one at my job. This one is about $100 more than that one, but the metal and hose are worth all the difference. Get the metal head (it is heavy and has a piece of wood surrounding the hose to protect one’s hand from heat), but it doubles as an iron. This is MADE IN THE USA and is rock solid.
