Bad Design or Defective Lint Filter Mechanism? We’ve been using the dryer for 3 months now and noticed that there’s very little lint being trapped by the filter each time. Out of curiosity, I looked into the narrow receptacle by the door that holds the filter in place. I was horrified to see a big glob of lint sitting at the bottom of the receptacle. Bad design? This is a great dryer and the automatic modes work well This is a great dryer and the automatic modes work well. When we first got it, we found that the Check Vent light illuminated every time we tried to dry some clothes or towels. Also the dryer would quit the cycle early even on timed dry. We called some local service people to come and clean our dryer vent, and they found it was nearly totally blocked.
