Unserviceable Plastic Blade Assembly Melts Soon With Little Use The base unit is fine. It’s the plastic, polycarbonate jar that a real issue; specifically, the blade assembly. I started having a problem soon after purchase from new. The blade assembly is not something you can disassemble to clean and service with lubricant, so friction from use soon takes it’s toll as the heat MELTS the plastic serving as a retainer. I have video of this as well as pictures. This product could have been “five star” if it wasn’t for the oversight in this major…
IN 2012…IT’S STILL ONE BIG LEAKY MESS!!!! After spending hours researching blenders, I kept coming back to this KitchenAid, as it seemed to best meet all of my requirements. Amazon was showing it as a 4 Star product with over 700 reviews. The earlier posts from 2007 said it had a leaking problem, but subsequent posts agreed this problem had been corrected. WRONG! I received this product on July 26, 2012; have used it once a day, every day, since, to make a smoothie, and it started leaking yesterday (8/22/12). Four stars on this product…
Perfeck… a dream machine We wanted a blender that blended, made smoothies and when the crush ice button was used to crush ice, we was not left with half a blender full of whole cubes. The base of the jug is wide so everything gets sucked down into the blades. The design of the base motor and the jug just make one handed, putting it together so simple. There are cheaper blenders on the market that should not called blenders!!!. Its powerful, and quiet and a great investment as this is our 4th try at buying and trying,…
