Beaters are unbalanced UPDATE FOLLOWS. Excellent mixer, horrible beaters. I received my new 9 speed Kitchenaid mixer replacing a 7 speed Kitchenaid mixer that broke while my wife tried using it to mix a batter thick enough to patch potholes. So that evening I took our new empire red mixer out, attached the beaters, and commenced making mashed potatoes. At speed 5 that mixer was dancing in my hand, hard to hold.
