I bought this item after I saw on a Cook’s Illustrated TV show on PBS mentioned that the Kitchen Aid mixers have 6-wire whisk attachments, and 11-wire whisk attachments. Must have Kitchenaid attachment Make sure you have the correct Kitchenaid model for this whisk. This is NOT for the 5 quart model.Now this whisk is made of stainless steel which ALL Kitchenaid mixer attachments should be made of, but of course that’s not true. The quality of this SS whisk is excellent, when I compare this to the included whisk of the 6 quart model, I just want to throw the aluminum away. The aluminum attachments drive me nut.
