Four Stars Purchased this while installing an ice maker. We have very distasteful, hard water. I got a water softener for the house to help with hardness and added this inline filter for ice cubes. Follow the instructions to wash out the filter before installing. Also, we ran several cycles of ice making and threw the cubes out. First cubes still had funny taste. This ice-maker filter attached to the ice maker supply lines with ease. All necessary fittings are included with the uiit. Using the Lasco bracket (not included) I mounted it on the wall next to the left side of the fridge and it takes up very little space. It can be mounted either horizontally or vertical.
