Great alternative to more expensive filters!! Why do water filters for refrigerators have to be so expensive?? I’m sure there’s a lot of science and technology behind the scenes, but really. $60 or more for a water filter? At any rate, I got this filter for our Kenmore fridge filter which takes a 46-9990. Effortless Replacement & Fit Effortless replacement with exact size as original Kenmore filter. The Refresh filter flushed clean with the first 16 oz of water passing through it! There was no detectable carbon particles from the manufacturing process that was detectable and my ice maker is running 100% clear as well!
