This seems to be a very good unit. I had the previous model to this … This seems to be a very good unit. I had the previous model to this one, and it died after only a few months. This is the new model that they replaced it with, and it works better. The door closes well, where-as the other one did not. It is a little hard to open, but I found a finger hold under the button that prevents the unit moving when the button is pushed. It has good power, and is quiet. We will see if it lasts! I recommend the extended warranty with any microwave these days.Update…

Loving This Microwave So, it’s been about 10 years since we’ve bought a microwave. Our previous apartment had one built in, and we got one that we bought when we moved here five years ago. We bought a different microwave before this, and literally requested to send it back within 48 hours. It was horrible. But, the Magic Chef is a gem. Food cooks fast and evenly.
