Great for steaming too. I purchased this to steam Rice Cakes & it does a good job of keeping its shape. I also used it to bake Banana cupcakes, I placed them on a baking tray. I tried to bake in it greased & by itself. The greased holders came out easier & there is almost no cake residue left. The ones with out grease coating still came out pretty easily but with more left over residue (similar to paper cupcakes cup when you peel them). Fantastic item to have in the kitchen Fantastic item to have in the kitchen. I don’t bake often, but when I do, I find these to be easy to use, and works for all sorts of things. I used them to make mini breakfast quiche, and they turned out great! Only downfall (and reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) is that they can become mildewed very quickly.
