Great vacuum! Provide you use it as designed. When my 10 yr old upright Bissell died, I started looking for a replacement. After a ton of of research, I finally settled on the Alize. I have about 60% smooth floors (tile and hardwood), and 40% short-pile carpet (1/2″ cut pile), and I wasn’t sure the Alize would be a great fit for me as it’s advertised as primarily designed for smooth floors. Great for allergy sufferers Our house has all hardwood floors and we have some large area rugs. We also have three dogs, the city we live in is very dusty, and my daughter has asthma and allergies. After a lot of research, I decided to go with a miele because of its reputation as being good for allergy sufferers. Almost perfect I would have rated this 4.8 stars if I could. But close enough that I give it an overall 5. As both a design snob and a nitpicker for fine engineering – I am difficult to please. Read all the other reviewers, there’s no lie. This Miele is 5 stars in just about everything.
