Gets hot with loads of steam This iron actually gets hot enough! I don’t know whether it is a perceived safety issue or the fact that irons are now plastic instead of metal but the last couple irons I had just didn’t get hot enough to press wrinkled cotton. Not only does this do the job but there are two settings for steam — low and high — and the high is continuous steam. No more having to spray what I’m ironing with water.
