If you want your rice like Persians cooked Though this rice cooker gave us some trouble to start, we finally were able to get some attention to it and discovered a connection for the front on-off switch was loose, perhaps it came loose in shipping or at some point before it arrived. We were able to securely re-attach the loose connection and it works fine now. For sous vide Big capacity and that is the reason I bought it.If you want your rice like Persians cooked, do not buy this – or take your rice out before it steams- while it is wet and steam it yourself.It says 23 cups but again with Persians standard put you should cook max 15 cups. Otherwise your rice would be dry and sticky.It is not Non-Stick pan.I had to experiment with it to get when I take the rice out and steam it myself to get the long grain rice I wanted.
