Very nice juicer, not sure about yield I got this juicer for a few reasons. For one, I work in the juicing equipment business, so I know a thing or two about it and two, I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and I want to start treating it with juicing before beginning medications. For those of you unfamiliar, this is a masticating juicer that utilizes something similar to an auger to slice the products into little pieces and crush them as they pass further along the auger. Based on the yields I got, I would say it…
Fast and easy to clean. Produces very good quality juice. May need to run the pulp through 1x more. I have been juicing organic fruits and vegetables since 1998. In this time I’ve owned a Champion (my first), 2 Omegas (my 2nd and my 4th), and a Black and Decker (my 3rd). This Philips is my 5th juicer in this 18 year period. In addition to what I’ve personally owned and used regularly, I’ve used a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer, Omega Vertical Auger, and even a Norwalk Press (the God Father of all juicers) – all owned by my friends. I can place this Philips Juicer after my Omegas (my favorites)…
Good value for your money. As expected from other reviews, the opening funnel used to feed the juicer is very small so youâll need to chop up your fruits and veggies unless they are the size of a strawberry or carrot. Itâs imortent to note that the waste dish must be firmly pushed in or the motor wonât start! I almost sent it back, until I figured this out. The motor isnât very noisy. It appears that « slow masticating » means exactly that. The good side is the price, comparatively. I bought this â usedâ, it looked new…
