Pretty sturdy I have a teen and small child with hollow legs and I was trying everything to keep them out of the fridge. I made sure the fridge that I was installing this on was completely clean and then dry. After all that, I installed it. Was really easy to do and the instructions that it came with were really helpful. The keys that came with it really do work, tested that out before I installed.
