Perfect replacement! But you may not even need it… It took me less than 10 minutes to do the actual replacement, courtesy of finding a few YouTube videos on how to do it. This replacement part is redesigned for the better and hopefully will last longer than the original. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver to do this! Perfect, improved, drop-in replacement for lower freezer Samsung RFG298AAPN Drop in replacement for lower freezer icemaker in Samsung RFG298AAPN (and other colors). Does not have the annoying front trim piece that always falls off from the original, so I consider this to be better.
