The only issue I had is it is a little shorter than the original, maybe an inch and a half ?!? Consequently, the paper bag is a little too tall for this outer cloth bag, so the duct tube to the top of the bag could kink and restrict the dust from getting to the top of the tube and dumping into the bag. Simple fix is to cut an inch and a half off the bottom of the paper bag duct tube, where it attaches with the garter…
The newer Sanitaires don’t seem to offer models that use the old F&G bags. Rather, they all come with shakeouts which is really messy and unhygienic. What’s more, shakeouts cannot be washed, otherwise it compromises the rubberised lining inside of the bag. If you wash a shake out, the filtration lining (which is limited) will deteriorate and at that point you might as well use a burlap sack for a bag.With this, you can use disposable paper bags (F&G) and get much better filtration…
