Previously had a larger ice maker that made the bullet cubes and decided to try this one after the old one died.It’s relatively quiet (way quieter that the old one) and because the clear ice cubes melt slower it runs much less often which is a huge plus. It’s slower to make ice, but considering that the ice melts slower, that’s not really an issue, since it makes a lot of ice with each cycle. The biggest problem is that the ice is hard to break up into individual cubes, since it kind of drops a molded slab into the tray.
