Warranty is worth Crap! After only 1 month of light use, the brush drive made a grinding noise, the red light came on, and brush stopped. Something had gotten so hot that it melted through the side of the lower unit, and when I pulled out the brush, it’s driveshaft was at an angle. After calling Shark, and going through the process them recording all the information, I was informed that they would offer me the lower unit that has the brush, for half price. Caught on Fire This vacuum would’ve gotten five stars from me until last night, when (what I assume was) the motor started burning up internally. It smoked for 30+ minutes after dousing it with water repeatedly. I had it for 10-11 months, and there was no indication of a problem beforehand — the brush head was working/spinning properly, and I’d cleaned the filters recently.
