What is NSF 42?
NSF/ANSI Standard 42 covers POU and POE systems designed to reduce specific
aesthetic or non-health-related contaminants (such as chlorine, taste and odor, and
particulates) that may be present in public or private drinking water. The scope of
Standard 42 is to establish minimum requirements for material safety, structural
integrity, product literature, and aesthetic, non-health related contaminant reduction
performance claims.

The filter indicator light only comes on after the unit has been on for approximately 6
months. The refrigerator can not test your water quality. Please press the
reset button after installed the new filter .
