The sole plate glides nicely and the iron is not heavy I am giving it 5 stars based on my expectations for the type of iron it is, as advertised. It is exactly what I expected, as my last iron was this exact same thing. It did a great job and was easy to handle Just got this iron and tried it out. A lot of people wrote that it is small. I don’t think so. It’s bigger than the iron I had before which was a WS1750, also a Westinghouse which lasted for approximately 10 years but started dripping, so needed to be replaced. When I got this iron today I ironed a pair of jeans shorts with a roll-up on the legs, so triple amount of jeans to iron. It did a great job and was easy to handle.
