These are not Genuine Whirlpool parts, they are advertised as Whirlpool when they are in fact Appli Parts which are aftermarket parts. If you want genuine whirlpool this is not the buyer you should get from. With a little guessing I was able to figure out where to place the cables, but I should not have had to do this with the parts that were pictured. I feel that I was in a way jipped because aftermarket parts are cheaper that genuine parts so I feel that I am in need of a partial refund…
Don’t be cheap – replace both parts with the real deal OEM parts The thermal fuse blew on my dryer, and I considered 2 “frugal” repairs that would have been dumb, IMO:bad idea #1) reset the “non-resettable” thermal cutoff. Using a technique I won’t describe, I was able to easily restore continuity. I reinstalled the cutoff fuse and the dryer worked. Then I took it out again and ordered these inexpensive replacement parts. Just because continuity was restored doesn’t mean that the part would perform it’s actual function: to break…
