Super cool… i fixed the 12 year old whirlpool dryer. I am like a hero now. This element apparently fits a butt-load of dryers that are out there. it was a perfect match, installed into the element housing, and is working perfectly. We brought our older whirlpool matching washer and dryer set with pedestals when we moved. The new house came with a newer unmatched set. I kept them in the garage for almost 2 years fully expecting that as soon as I got rid of them one of the old appliances…
Our 18 year old dryer’s heating element failed so I googled the part number and Amazon to the rescue. Other sites had this part for 3x more not including shipping. 2 days delivery and a couple of hours work – mostly to clean the duct work – and we have a well functioning machine once again. For less than a double sawbuck this is a great value and well worth it if you want to perform a little DIY diagnosis and preventative maintenance. Have ordered two of these from Amazon over the years, first one worked like a champ and install is incredibly easy! All you need is a 1/4″ socket and you are good. A good opportunity to clean out the lint that infests your dryer while you’re at it! Why pay for a repair when something is this easy to fix yourself?Second order sucked.
