A good solution that takes some prep time to make work. Buy foil tape. I bought a replacement dryer and the vent did not line up with the existing exhaust. It was over by about 3 and 3/4 inches and up by about 1 and 1/2 inches. A vent hose would have put the dryer out about a foot, and the foil type of flexible hose kinked up and would have been a serious fire hazard. This was just what I needed.
